Today I went and apparently there was a cavity that had not been filled last time (because I forgot and never made the appointment lol) so it was filled today. It didn't bother me at all, so I wasn't scared of the procedure. Then, when the Novocaine came the dental assistant stuck me in the lip with the needle (on accident, I'm sure both of us moved without realizing it). Anyways, it really hurt and I bled. And once the needle was in the right place (back right gums) it still hurt like hell when the needle went in. But when asked how it felt I replied, "It's okay." LIES! I really hate needles so I was freaking out, knuckles clenched in my pockets, tears ready... AH!
Then the rest of the procedure happened, lots of drool. But in the end it didn't hurt very much. Sure there is a little numb pain, not as much as it would if I never got it filled.
After dinner tonight, the excitement of using my new brushing tools was filling me! I brushed using my new tooth brush, brushed my gums using a new tooth brush, massaged inbetween my gums with new tooth picks, and rinsed with a very nice mouth wash.
My mouth is healthy and happy and so am I. (Except the fact that I am actually kinda sick, but that's beside the point!)
HAPPY BRUSHING!
