I am cold and ready for school to be over. Luckily this is my last week other than the one day next week I need to turn in a paper.
The weather wasn't too bad today, mostly cold with a little rain.
Moriah and I finished our history paper today. Complete BS, but we pulled through. It isn't exactly 10 pages (it's barely 9) but we're bound to at least get a B. And if we don't, I will surely cry OTL
My toes are freezing. I should put on socks, but the cold is making me not want to move. Typing is warming up my arms though:)
I will make hot cocoa when I go downstairs to watch the one hour finale of The Buried Life:D

Seattle Marathon 2010

Today Christopher ran in the Seattle Marathon sponsored by Amica Insurance. His time was 4 hours and 53 minutes. He thought he would get around 4 hours and 30 minutes to 5 hours. So he did really well:D
Mom, dad, Christopher and I woke up around 5 0'clock in the morning to shower and eat. We left for Seattle around 7am, we thought traffic would be okay. Traffic was good until we hit downtown (cab driver #1 said "when traffic is like this, never take Mercer St." good to know!) then it was crazytown! Most of the runners/walkers got out and walked to the starting line. Mom went with Christopher and took pictures. Dad and I parked in the parking garage and got to the starting line, but we didn't see Christopher.
My parents and I walked for a while after the runners stopped coming through. We needed to get to one of the cheer/rest stops so we took a cab to the 6th mile mark(?). After waiting a little bit, we saw Christopher and gave him some Powerade. Then we walked a little bit further (and took some scenic photos lol) and got coffee at the Starbucks in (or outside) Madrona. There we saw Christopher again (this was between 18 and 19 miles).
Afterwards, my parents and I kept on walking. Mom's knees were hurting because the walking and she had stood for so long on Thanksgiving cooking. I wanted to call a cab, but knew a cab wouldn't be able to come as close as I would hope. So we asked a police officer where we could find a cab "34th St is pretty busy." Up to 34th St we went! ALL UPHILL! It was pretty hot with all our layers on, too. We made it up the hill, but the only cabs we saw had people in them:( With no luck of finding an empty cab, I suggested calling for a cab again. The three of us made it to the cross of Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd and Union St where we called for a cab (cab driver #2 had a nice winter hat).
He drove us a few blocks away from where we needed to be, because traffic was terrible anywhere near the marathon path. We were going to walk to the starting line again because that's where we thought the finish was, but I took my map out and realized the finish was inside Memorial Stadium. (Whoops!) We asked around and one guy said he knew the general direction and that he was headed there as well.
Once inside Memorial Stadium, we saw Christopher finish, we met up with Rachele, and Christopher ate food to recover from the 26.2 mile run he just accomplished.
I am so proud of my brother.

Black Friday: Not What I Expected

My parents and I went Black Friday shopping this year. Most stores have some kind of deal that lasts for a couple hours starting at 4am, some stores have them ongoing. What I noticed what many stores didn't have any kind of deal at all.
Sephora had no deals (that I know of), though my mom and I each got 2 things.
Macy's had some deals, I didn't think about it too much while there because I was so excited to get a nice pair of shoes in my size! (American size = 4).
Forever 21 kind of had deals... like jeggings starting at $6, but really it was only the jeggings on one table... THEY SHOULD MARK THAT BEFOREHAND. The lady at the cashier table said to always check the tags for the sale price.... but nothing we had was remarked though we received a discount on a few jeggings. We spent a lot, but I would say it was worth it.
Eddie Bauer, my dad said you were not having a sale on pants. WHY?
And Nordstrom. What was up with you? You wouldn't let people in unless they came in through the inside of the mall! AND you opened at 10am! WHAT KIND OF BLACK FRIDAY SPIRIT IS THAT?!
I think most of the crazy Black Friday-ness happened at stores like Target, Walmart, K-Mart, Outlet/ Factory stores and Boutiques. Oh well. At least I wasn't trampled.

Why do my parents get upset every time we talk about the Bible. Oh yeah, maybe because their children have actually read most of the Bible and they haven't.
And they turn every conversation into "Why don't my children do things for me?" "Why can't you be like so-and-so?" "So-and-so was YOUR age when they did this!" "Why can't you be more mature?"

SHUT UP.
Glee made me cry. That is all.

My mouth/ face is still slightly numb from earlier today. I had a minor oral procedure... basically I think it was just scraping at my gums... REALLY BLOODY.
So this happened around 11:20am, it is now 2:46 pm and I'm still numb. I am also extremely hungry because all I've had is a bowl of Fruit Loops.

What?

My brother just called our dog Phoebe's bathroom (boarded off litterbox area in the garage) "Phoebe's dung place."
Dung place?
Really?

Does Anyone Remember?

Does anyone remember Michael Cera and Clark Duke's band The Long Goodbye? Only a few songs were put online, I wish they would make more.

Job?

I applied to Borders and I had a job interview last Tuesday. I am really hoping they call me soon and let me know if I have the job. My nerves are getting to me:(

More Frustrations

Today (and yesterday) have been a little frustrating for me. But where's the fun without the frustration, right?
This is a pickle that has annoyed me for years. Yes, years.
Just because I am half Korean doesn't mean I know everything Asian or remotely Asian, i.e. video games, movies, etc. Yes, I do know some. Yes, I like video games. But I am not that into them. I play some video games, but if a person was to ask anyone about video games in my family, ask my siblings or my cousin. Really. The mere fact that I am Asian has nothing to do with whether or not I know math, or video games (for example).
Also, when people ignore the fact that I am Asian, German, etc it bothers me. I am not a one-dimensional person. Nor do I think everyone in the world is one-dimensional, but it seems to me most people act as if they are. I don't understand why people can't embrace the way others are and the way they are.
I guess that's all I have to say on this for now. I don't mind being "the Asian friend" but sometimes it does get annoying if that's only how people think of me.

So Much Frustration

My lap top is having trouble loading things lately. I don't know what it is that is causing this, but it's been going on for a week(?) or so. Videos on youtube won't load, Facebook games won't load, and now loading a simple webpage is taking a bit of time.
This is frustrating me so much! AHHHHHHH!

P.S. Can I say Rihanna's new red hair is super ugly? Cos it is. Really ugly. Her whole "I'm badass, I don't take no shit" attitude is stupid. Obviously she does take shit because Chris Brown hit her after she annoyed the hell out of him.

Awesome Idea Time!

How awesome would it be if Rooney, Phantom Planet, Brad Doggett and Earthtone went on tour? Or did a mini concert in WA? Flipping awesome!
I want this to happen so bad! Maybe I could put a little something together...
GET AT ME, BROS!

Voices

I love when girls have deep voices when they sing. It's so beautiful and such a change. This song is very well done, and the music video is lovely:D

I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad

Whilst getting ready for school this morning I was listening to my iPod on shuffle. I was pretty content with the songs being played, then "Mad World" by Gary Jules came on. Up went the volume then I sat on the edge of the air mattress and just smiled to myself because the song is so damn good.
I'm sure if someone walked into my room and saw me sitting there they would have thought I was possessed. lol

Ironic?

Since I have been in school I have come to this realization:
I was more motivated to do things (clean, read, write, blog!, etc) during the summer than I am now. My classes are 2 days a week, yet I find myself scrambling last minute to do homework assignments assigned the first day of the quarter.
When I actually have things to do is when I feel the most lazy. A weird way to live, but it's been working for me so far!
